So what do we mean by the term highly fuel effcient gas fires ?

Quite simply, highly fuel efficient means a large percentage (70+%) of heat generated by your gas fire flows into your living space, and is not lost lost up the chimney or through your flue / vent. (Please remember however, that if you are using your central heating system you may want a gas fire that acts more as a nice focal point on a cold winters night. In this instance a fire with a low efficiency percentage may best suit your needs as less heat will permeate into the room.)
